Wolfsberg Castle is a moated castle in Lüdinghausen in the district of Coesfeld, Germany. Only one wing of the complex has been preserved, the core of which probably dates back to the 16th century.
Shortly before 1270, on the occasion of a division of ownership by the Lords of Lüdinghausen called Wolff, another castle was built next to their ancestral castle of the same name. It was named Wulfsberg after its builder Bernhard Wulf von Lüdinghausen. Since the construction had taken place without the permission of the Bishop of Münster as sovereign, the complex had to be demolished again as early as 1271. After that, it was probably only provisionally repaired at first. Official permission for reconstruction was not granted until 1314. In 1324, in the course of a feud, the castle was again destroyed by the Prince-Bishop of Münster, Ludwig II. This was followed by a reconstruction until 1337. Around 1380 the house passed by marriage to the von Hake family and from them, after the von Hake zu Wolfsberg family died out in 1537, to the von Schenckinck. In 1549, Johann von der Recke zu Heessen acquired the estate as a result of his marriage to Ermgard von Schenckinck. In 1778, the von Boeselager family inherited the castle and estate.
