The Salbker Lake I is a lake in the southern part of the city of Magdeburg. Although named after the district of Salbke, the lake is located north of Salbke in the area of Fermersleben.
There are two islands in the lake. The shores of the lake slope gently. The lake reaches water depths of 1.5 to 3.0 meters, with the water level being influenced by the Elbe River. To the east of the lake runs the west Elbe cycling path. North of Salbker Lake I is Salbker Lake II, which was created slightly later and is separated by a 100-meter-wide dam.
