It stands on a pedestal just north of the Saxony-Anhalt State Parliament and is part of the Magdeburg Sculpture Park. The 76 cm high sculpture made of white-colored concrete was created in 1970 by René Graetz.
Inborn Power, which can be translated to Natural Power in English, is an abstract work and is meant to embody a natural force. The sculpture, which faintly resembles a cat, is described as a "structure of biomorphic three-dimensional elements."
