The Krün weir is a weir near Krün, a municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria in Germany.
In Krün, most of the water from the Isar is diverted and fed into Lake Walchensee via the Isar overpass. This serves as the headwater basin of the Walchensee power plant. On the way to Walchensee, the water also passes the Obernach power plant. After the construction of the weir in 1924, the Isar below the plant often suffered from a lack of water. Since 1990, the operator has been required to allow a minimum amount of water to flow into the original course of the river. In order to be able to use the five metres difference in height of the residual water at the weir, a small hydroelectric power plant was built in 1990. The plant, formerly operated by E.ON Wasserkraft, has been operated by Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH since 2016 and has a maximum output of 200 kilowatts.
