The Hessian State Fire Brigade School, abbreviated as HLFS, is the state fire brigade school of the state of Hesse.
It is based in Kassel and has a branch in Marburg-Cappel, the youth fire brigade training center. Its tasks include theoretical and practical training for the members of volunteer fire brigades as well as professional fire brigades. The school also conducts training and further education measures for disaster protection. With a capacity of 240 participants, who are accommodated and provided for in a boarding school setting, the HLFS is one of the largest fire brigade schools in Germany.
