On five hectares in the Sentrup district in the immediate vicinity of the Aasee, the all-weather zoo and the LWL Museum of Natural History, the Mühlenhof open-air museum in Münster shows farming and craft culture of the region from four centuries. Around 30 historical buildings have been moved from their original location to the museum in Münster in Westphalia or reconstructed there according to old models. The interiors with historical collections give an impression of the lifestyles and working methods of the people who once lived here.
