District Court of Kassel

The District Court of Kassel is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in the independent city of Kassel. It is one of six independent presidential district courts in Hesse. The other district courts in Hesse are assigned to the respective regional court in whose district they are located.
The seat of the court is in Kassel at Frankfurter Straße 9. A branch office is located at Friedrichsstraße 32-34, and a secondary office is in Hofgeismar. The AG Kassel, based in Kassel, has local jurisdiction over the city of Kassel as well as the following municipalities in the district of Kassel: Ahnatal, Bad Emstal, Bad Karlshafen, Baunatal, Breuna, Calden, Espenau, Fuldabrück, Fuldatal, Grebenstein, Habichtswald, Helsa, Hofgeismar, Immenhausen, Kaufungen, Liebenau, Lohfelden, Naumburg, Nieste, Niestetal, Oberweser, Reinhardshagen, Schauenburg, Söhrewald, Trendelburg, Vellmar, Wahlsburg, Wolfhagen, Zierenberg and for the non-municipal area of Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald.
