The Glockenberg Tunnel is a road tunnel in Koblenz. Since 2003, the tunnel has provided a grade-separated connection from the Pfaffendorfer Bridge to the B 42. It is located in the Glockenberg under the Asterstein district on the right bank of the Rhine.
In the 1960s, the connection of the Pfaffendorfer Bridge on the city center side was reorganized and reconstructed to be grade-separated. With the construction of the South Bypass of Koblenz in the early 1970s, the Pfaffendorfer Bridge was further relieved, particularly as the bottleneck on the Pfaffendorfer side caused traffic problems.
