The Forum Wiedenest e. V. is a Christian-evangelical work with three areas of work: World Mission, the Academy of Biblical Theology, and the Youth and Church Forum. He worked mainly with the Brethren and Baptist churches.
The Academy of Biblical Theology was founded in 1905 in Berlin-Steglitz under the name "Bible School of the Covenant", among other things, to enable Christians from Russia and Eastern Europe to receive theological training. These Christians had already been baptized Baptists and had therefore been expelled from the German Eastern Mission Bible School in Berlin, directed by Johannes Lepsius. At the same time, efforts had been made since 1904 by the Bad Blankenburg alliance to found a house of the Allianz brothers.
