The Ebbegebirge telecommunications tower is a transmitter on the Waldberg in the municipality of Herscheid near Lüdenscheid. It is owned by Deutsche Funkturm , a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. It was built in 1983 and has a height of 150 m.
The tower, which is made of reinforced concrete, serves as a radio relay station and mobile communications site. The broadcasting of the television programs of ZDF and WDR was terminated on November 12, 2007.
