The Nordhelle transmitter near Herscheid on the Nordhelle in the Ebbegebirge is a transmitter of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk for radio and television.
The Nordhelle transmitter is located on the summit area of the Nordhelle, the highest mountain of the Ebbe Mountains at 662.7 m above sea level; at the foot of its telecommunications tower stands the Herscheider Hütte restaurant. In addition, there is a telecommunications tower made of reinforced concrete of the Bundeswehr for mobile communications in the summit area.
