Adolfsburg Castle is a Baroque-era water-surrounded castle located in the village of Oberhundem in the municipality of Kirchhundem, Germany.
The castle is named after its builder, Baron Jean-Adolphe de Fürstenberg, who had it built in the 1670s. At the time, Baron von Fürstenberg was a canon of Münster Cathedral and bailiff of the Holy Cross in Hildesheim. He also became bailiff of Paderborn Cathedral in 1681. In the world, he was a secret advisor to Münster and Paderborn and held various administrative positions in Westphalia.
