The Villa de Freitas is a villa located in Hamburg-Othmarschen, Elbchaussee 239. It has been listed as a historical monument since April 26, 2011.
In August 1903, the merchant and shipowner Carlos Pedro de Freitas acquired the property in Othmarschen from the heirs of Johannes Eduard Freiherr von Mutzenbecher, who had passed away earlier that year. This property consisted of two parcels of land: one measuring 27,801 m² on the Elbe side of Elbchaussee and another on the north side with an area of 9,024 m². De Freitas immediately had the villa on the Elbe side demolished. Construction of the current house at the same location then took place according to the plans of the architects Lundt & Kallmorgen. To the west of the house were outbuildings, a coach house, and two greenhouses. By March 1904, the de Freitas family was able to move into the new building.
