The District Court of Rotenburg an der Fulda was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Rotenburg in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg.
With the edict "Concerning the reorganization of the previous state administration" from June 29, 1821, justice and administration were separated in the Electorate of Hesse. In Rotenburg, the judicial offices Rotenburg I, II, and III were established as first-instance courts. In 1836, the judicial office Rotenburg III was dissolved. The judicial office Rotenburg I included the city of Rotenburg, Bebra, and 11 other villages. The judicial office Rotenburg II was assigned 29 villages. The two judicial offices were located in the marstall of the castle.
