Schloss Jühnde is a former castle in Jühnde in Lower Saxony, which is now a listed building. The building complex of the former castle and other structures has been inhabited and managed by the Barons Grote since 1664.
A manor in Jühnde was first mentioned in a document in 960 by Otto I. The castle, first mentioned in 1290, was located on the highway from Münden to Göttingen. It belonged to Widekindus dictus de June. The family of June died out in 1463, and Jühnde fell to the family of Bovenden; shortly thereafter, to the family of Adelebsen. At that time, the castle apparently developed into a robber baron's castle, from which merchants were ambushed. In 1484, it was therefore captured by the Göttingers, occupied, and rebuilt from 1489 onwards. From this period also comes the 29-meter-high castle tower, known as Moshus. Its lower two floors have cross vaults.
