The Wintergarten high-rise is a skyscraper in Leipzig. The residential building was constructed from 1970 to 1972 as a residential high-rise on Wintergartenstraße and is the third tallest skyscraper in Leipzig, after the City-Hochhaus and the Hotel The Westin. With a total height of 106.8 meters, of which 95.5 meters is the pure building height, it was the tallest residential building in the GDR and is now on the list of high-rises in Germany among the first hundred.
It is centrally located in the Leipzig city center at Wintergartenstraße 2, southeast of the main train station and not far from Augustusplatz. To the west lies the park at Schwanenteich. The high-rise is also known for the 18-ton rotating advertising sign Double-M of the Leipzig Trade Fair on its roof.
