Delitzsch Repair Works

The Delitzsch Repair Shop is located on the Trebnitz–Leipzig railway line and has developed over the course of more than 100 years into a maintenance center for the revision, modernization, and new construction of rail-bound passenger vehicles. It was a repair shop of the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the Saxon town of Delitzsch. After a sale in 2010, it became part of EuroMaint Rail GmbH as the Delitzsch plant, which was in turn a subsidiary of the Swedish EuroMaint AB. On December 28, 2015, the sale of the German EuroMaint sites, including the Delitzsch plant, to the investment company Iberia Industry Capital Group was announced. The operating company has been registered as RailMaint since May 2, 2016.
The former Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk Delitzsch was assigned to DB Regio AG as a C-plant in heavy maintenance after the merger of the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the Deutsche Reichsbahn. With the establishment of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH, all heavy maintenance plants were consolidated under one management. These included the plants in Bremen, Cottbus, Delitzsch, Dessau, Eberswalde, Fulda, Kassel, Krefeld, Leipzig-Engelsdorf, Munich, Neumünster, Paderborn, and Wittenberge. The Delitzsch plant of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH was sold to SFW Schienenfahrzeugwerk Delitzsch GmbH on January 1, 2005.
As of January 1, 2009, the owner changed again. The plant then belonged to the Swedish corporate group and was one of the five workshops of the EuroMaint group. Other associated plants were in Kaiserslautern, Leipzig-Engelsdorf, Duisburg, and Oberhausen. All locations were sold to Iberia Industry Capital Group upon announcement on December 28, 2015, and have been operating under the name RailMaint since the name change in May 2016.
