Description

In the district of Geisweid, which is characterized by the regional metalworking industry, the cemetery is located on Wartburgstraße, with a view of the Geisweider slag heaps and the steelworks.
The site, which also houses a cemetery chapel, is 68,000 square meters in size and consists of 7,500 graves. About 130 burials take place each year. At the edge of the cemetery is a memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars.
