The Lindenberg Cemetery is the largest cemetery in the city of Siegen. It is located on the Lindenberg, in the east of the city area. Founded in 1857, it has an area of 204,000 m² with 17,900 graves. About 380 burials take place every year.
The new cemetery hall with its typical pointed slate roof, which burned down shortly after its construction on 7 May 2002 and had to be rebuilt, can be seen from many places in the city of Siegen.
