The Kepler Memorial House in Regensburg is the death house of the astronomer Johannes Kepler. Kepler took up residence in the house, which had been owned by the merchant Hillebrand Hilli since 1622, in the autumn of 1630. Kepler died here on November 15, 1630.
The house goes back to a medieval fortified house and was at one time owned by the long-distance trading family Runtinger. Until the 19th century, the house housed the inn "Zum Goldenen Falken." In 1959, the dilapidated house was barely saved from demolition and restored. Today, the house shows its appearance with its bay window as it was in 1540. Since 1961, it has housed a museum about the astronomer.
