The Rönkhausen pumped storage plant is a pumped storage power plant in Finnentrop-Rönkhausen in the district of Glinge in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The power plant has a capacity of 140 megawatts. The lower reservoir forms the Glingebach Dam in the valley of the Glingebach, which holds about 1.3 million m³ of water. The upper reservoir, which is also artificially created, has a usable volume of over one million cubic metres and is over 270 m higher on the Dahlberg. At maximum fill level, each of the two basins has a water surface of about 100,000 m². The water is pumped up to the upper reservoir through the approximately 900-metre-long pressure tunnel and lowered again via two Francis turbines. A large part of the power plant facilities are underground.
