The district court Borna is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of a total of 25 district courts in the Free State of Saxony.
The jurisdiction of the district court Borna includes all municipalities in the district of Leipziger Land. The main office of the court is located in Borna, Am Gericht 2. The family department, the land registry office, and the probate department are located in Borna, Deutzener Straße 14. The move to a building on Leipziger Straße is planned for June 2020, which has been under renovation since 2017. The entire district court with all employees is to be accommodated there.
