The Kressenborn is a karst spring designated as a natural monument near Frankershausen in the Hessian Werra-Meißner district. It feeds the Berka tributary Bornaibach, just like the neighboring Breitenborn.
The Kressenborn is located in the Geo-Naturpark Frau-Holle-Land north of the Berkatal district of Frankershausen, between the two sub-areas of the nature reserve Kripp and Hielöcher, about 100 m west of the Breitenborn. The outflow of both springs forms the Bornaibach, which after about 200 m powers the Oberdorfer Mühle and another 500 m downstream the Blaumühle, and flows into the Berka in Frankershausen. The spring water of the Kressenborn emerges under a elderberry bush, then flows into a dammed small depression and passes under a field path.
