The Bräuberg is a mountain near Donaustauf, Landkreis Regensburg, Bavaria in the Bavarian Forest by the Danube.
Today, Walhalla stands majestically on the Bräuberg. The Bavarian King Ludwig I chose the Bräuberg as the construction site for Walhalla together with the architect Leo von Klenze. The foundation stone for the "Temple of Fame" was laid on October 18, 1830. In 1842, Walhalla was completed in the form of a marble Greek temple.
