The Schriftgut-Archiv Ostwürttemberg in Heubach-Lautern is a unique private literary archive founded by the teacher Reiner Wieland in 1974. It archives documents from and about authors from the districts of Göppingen, Heidenheim, and Ostalbkreis.
The archive secures published and unpublished written materials from Ostwürttemberg. Through the facilitation of discussions among those interested in literature and connections to local historical societies and literary circles, the authors and their works are to be honored in the public eye. In particular, the processing and preparation of the collections for research and scientific evaluation are among its tasks.
