The Große Lienewitzsee is a lake in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in the state of Brandenburg. It is about 13.78 hectares in size and approximately 740 meters long in its extension from northeast to southwest. Its widest point is about 200 meters with a maximum depth of 6 meters. It is located in the area of the municipality of Michendorf, which is free of administrative offices.
The Große Lienewitzsee is situated south of the Havel in a forested area within the Lienewitz-Caputher lakes and wetlands protected area. It has a ditch-like connection to the Caputher See to the north. Due to the lowered groundwater level, this connection is usually dry. At the southwest end lies the settlement of Lienewitz. To the southwest of the body of water is the Kleine Lienewitzsee. The federal motorway A10, the southern Berlin ring road, is about one kilometer away.
