The Protestant Church of Donsbach is a listed church building in Donsbach, a district of Dillenburg in the Lahn-Dill-Kreis
The complex with a square choir and rectangular nave was built in 1754 on the site of an almost 300-year-old chapel that had fallen into disrepair, causing the congregation to incur heavy debt. During the great fire of 1791, which destroyed a large part of the village, the church also burned down to its foundations. However, the remaining walls were still stable enough to allow for the rebuilding to begin. The church tower was fitted with a slate roof, while the substructure of the initially thatched nave was built so robustly that it could later support a slate roof as well. When the construction was completed, it was initially used as a storage space for the donated provisions on the instruction of the local lord's official, until they were sold, transported away, or used otherwise.
