The Altkehdingen Forest is a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Wingst in the Samtgemeinde Land Hadeln in the district of Cuxhaven.
The nature reserve with the designation NSG LÜ 067 was 19 hectares in size. It was located south of Cadenberge on the edge of the Wingst and served to protect a colony of grey herons living there. The birds mainly breed in the old spruce trees growing there. However, the spruce population was weakened by the feces of the herons and storm-damaged by bark beetles and had to be felled. The grey herons can no longer be found as breeding birds in the forest area due to disturbances.
