The Bremervörde prison is the first partially privatised prison in Lower Saxony. The contractor, BAM PPP JVA Bremervörde Projektgesellschaft mbH, a company of the Royal BAM Group and the group companies BAM Deutschland AG and BAM Immobilien-Dienstleistungen GmbH, which are also involved, provided or are providing the planning, construction, financing and parts of the operation of the Bremervörde prison within the framework of a public-private partnership.
