Landesbergen power plant

The Robert Frank Power Plant Landesbergen is a natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant in Landesbergen on the Weser in Lower Saxony, which went into operation in 1962. The power plant was named after Robert Frank , member of the first PreussenElektra board from 1927 to 1933, then member of committees of other companies such as RWE. In a description of the power plant by the current operator, only his board activity for PreussenElektra is mentioned about Frank; "[his] traces [are] still to be found on the power plant site". In addition, Robert Frank was one of the first commissioners and close confidant of Albert Speer. From 1945 until his death, he was involved with Speer in extensive secret activities involving Nazi-looted art, while at the same time being a renowned expert on the energy industry.
