Volksbank Ochtrup-Laer

Volksbank Ochtrup-Laer eG is a cooperative credit institution headquartered in Ochtrup. The business area includes Ochtrup, Wettringen, Horstmar, Laer, Leer, Langenhorst and Welbergen.
On 18 January 1903, the Ochtruper Spar- und Kreditskassenverein was founded, a registered cooperative with unlimited liability. The business was carried out in the premises of the Ochtrup dairy, supply and sales cooperative at Gronauer Strasse 52. In 1917, the cooperative moved into its first rented office space at Kirchplatz 2, and on 8 January 1946 it changed its name to Spar- und Kreditkasse Ochtrup eGmbH. In 1951, the bank moved into a newly built bank building at Bergstraße 13. On 27 August 1952, the bank merged with the Welbergen-Langenhorster Spar- und Darlehnskassenverein eGmuH, which was founded in 1906. In 1965, the bank moved to the former park estate Laurenz, Bergstraße 6, which is still the headquarters of Volksbank Ochtrup eG today. In 1989, the bank merged with Volksbank Wettringen eG. In 1999, the subsidiary Volksbank Ochtrup eG and Grünewald & Niesing Immobilienservice GmbH was founded. Since 4 September 2017, Volksbank Ochtrup eG and Volksbank Laer-Horstmar-Leer eG have been a bank with the new name Volksbank Ochtrup-Laer eG.
