The Enger Bruch is a nature reserve with a size of 55 ha in the town of Enger, which belongs to the district of Herford. It is listed with the number HF-001.
It is crossed by the Brandbach, which is called "Bolldammbach" in Enger, and has a size of 55 hectares, about half of which is state-owned. The lowland area and its green spaces are often flooded over large areas. The flora worthy of protection refers to the large sedge reeds, field woods, fat meadows and pastures, small bodies of water, tall herbaceous meadows, ditches, reed beds and hedge areas. The grassland areas provide a valuable habitat for numerous meadow and wading birds, amphibians, dragonflies and butterflies. The Bruch is of outstanding importance for the bird life of the Ravensberg region.
