The upcoming St. Elisabeth in Saarbrücken is the former establishment of the Teutonic Order in Saarbrücken. It
was founded at the end of the life of Count Simon III, who participated in the Fifth Crusade. In common language, it was formerly referred to as “Deutschhaus” or today mostly subsumed as “Deutschherrenkapelle,” but strictly speaking, this only refers to parts of the ensemble.
