The Napte rises in Horn-Bad Meinberg Kreuzenstein at an altitude of 215 m. From its source, the body of water first flows in a southeasterly direction, passes Buschkamp and Vahlhausen, flows south past the Norderteich and reaches Billerbeck. Behind Billerbeck, the stream turns to the northeast and flows parallel to the L 823. After taking up the Niederbeller Bach and crossing under the B 252, the Napte flows into the Emmer on the left side in Wöbbel at KM 38.6. The mouth height is 125 m.
