The Ahre in the Rothaargebirge is the approximately 5.4 km long, right and southwestern headstream of the Nuhne in the Hochsauerlandkreis in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Ahre rises in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park about 3.8 km southwest of the Winterberg district of Züschen. Its source is about 220 m west of the summit of the Ziegenhelle at about 740 m above sea level.
