The Nesthauser See is an approx. 50 hectare, artificially created lake in Paderborn. It is located in the south of the district of Sande on the border with the district of Elsen and is named after the Elsen district of Nesthausen.
The lake is divided into two parts, so that one should actually speak of two lakes. There is a 5-mast water ski cable car on each of the two parts of the privately owned lake. In the Paderborn area, therefore, one also speaks of the "water ski lake".
