The Holter Wald nature reserve is a large, contiguous forest area on the eastern edge of the Westphalian Bight. It covers an area of 613.14 hectares and is located in the town of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock in the district of Gütersloh. The area was placed under protection on 16 October 2008, and the area is listed with the number GT-040.
