The Asbeke-Kinzbachtal and the Asbeketal are two contiguous nature reserves in the district of Herford with a total size of around 145.7 hectares. The entire area forms a unit in terms of natural space, but is officially listed under two different numbers: the Asbeke-Kinzbach Valley, which with a size of about 123.7 ha is completely within the territory of the city of Herford, is numbered HF-016, the Asbeke Valley, with a size of about 22 ha, is completely located in the territory of the city of Enger, is listed with the number HF-015.
