The Evangelical Church in the district of Exter in the town of Vlotho is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Exter-Bonneberg, which belongs to the church district of Vlotho of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia. It is the first and thus oldest Protestant motorway church in Germany.
The farming community of Exter originally belonged to St. Mary's Church on the Stiftberg in Herford. In 1666, a parish was founded in Exter and the first church was built. Only the tower remains, the nave was demolished in 1951 due to dilapidation and replaced by a new building.
