The Xanten Leisure Centre is a local recreation area in Xanten on the Lower Rhine. The core of the leisure centre are two sports and leisure harbours in the districts of Wardt and Vynen, a water ski facility and two lakes created by gravel excavation and connected by a canal, each with a water surface of around 110 ha and a maximum depth of 15 m, which were created by gravel excavation until 1994. The northern lake is called the Xanten North Sea, the southern one the Xanten South Sea.
