House Knippenburg, also known as "Castle Knippenburg," was a moated castle on the right bank of the Emscher in Bottrop, which existed from 1340 to 1962.
House Knippenburg was built in 1340. A chapel followed in 1385, which was expanded into a church with a church tower in 1419.
