Bedburg Castle is a castle near Bedburg in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Its origins date back to the 12th century when a fortress of the Lords of Bedburg was mentioned for the first time. With its location in the marshy Erft lowlands, the water castle likely served as a safeguard for the crossing of the Erft river. Only through extensive renovations and expansions did the fortress gradually transform into a castle, leading to its present form.
