Only the outer bailey of the former castle located at the northern edge of Blessem has been preserved, which is now referred to as Castle Blessem. The course of the drained moats indicates the originally two-part structure, whose keep was situated on an island northeast of the outer bailey on today's garden area. During the flood disaster of 2021, which inundated large areas of the region due to heavy rainfall, parts of the structure were undermined and slipped. Thus, the castle now stands on a steep edge overlooking the gravel pit. An extension of the castle must be demolished, but the rest can be preserved.
