The Archbishop St. Ursula Gymnasium in Brühl is a private, state-recognized gymnasium and has been under the sponsorship of the Archdiocese of Cologne since 1962.
The school was founded on April 18, 1893, as a "Private Higher Girls' School with Boarding" and was the first higher girls' school in the then district of Cologne. It was established by the Ursulines of St. Salvator after their return from exile in the Netherlands in Roermond.
