The Reichswaldallee Tunnel is a dual-tube motorway tunnel on the A 44 in the northern part of the district of Rath in the North Rhine-Westphalian capital Düsseldorf. The tunnel has a length of 695 m and 725 m and runs with two lanes and one shoulder per tube. The tunnel was opened in 1991 as part of the extension of the A 44. Until then, the motorway ended at the previous interchange Reichswaldallee. The tunnel is used daily by about 40,000 vehicles.
Above the tunnel run the railway line towards Essen as well as the tram line 712 of Rheinbahn to Ratingen. The permissible maximum speed in the tunnel is 80 km/h.
