Hellenbroich Castle was a medieval knight's seat located in the Honschaft Diepensiepen, south of Mettmann.
Originally, the Feste Haus, which later became the castle, was located on the Mettmanner Bach shortly before it flowed into the Düssel. The name -broich for Bruch refers to the marshy area on the lower reaches of the Mettmann Bach.
