The Osterholz pit is a limestone quarry in the west of Wuppertal in the Vohwinkel district on the border with Wülfrath. The quarry near Dornap/Schöller is named after the Osterholz forest area. It is also known as the Oetelshofen quarry.
The quarry, which is still in operation today, covers an area of eight hectares and is managed by Kalkwerke H. Oetelshofen GmbH & Co. KG. The company is the last independent family business of its kind that has remained in the regional competition.
