The Halbachhammer in the Essen district of Fulerum is the preserved remnant of the medieval Fickynhütte from Weidenau on the Sieg. Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach had it moved to the Nachtigallental within sight of the Margarethenhöhe and donated it to the city. Today, the Halbachhammer is a monument of technical and economic history, an outpost of the Ruhr Museum, and part of the Route of Industrial Heritage.
