The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Federal Republic of Germany was located in the Bonn district of Bad Godesberg from 1984 to 1999. The embassy buildings, consisting of the Rigal Palace from 1849 and three new buildings erected in 1983/84, are located in the Alt-Godesberg district at the corner of Kurfürstenallee and Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, opposite Rigal's meadow, and form the southern end of the so-called "Kurfürstliche Zeile." They continue to be used by the People's Republic of China, until 2005 and since 2015 again as a branch of the embassy.
