The Perfstausee, also known as the Breidenstein/Perf flood retention basin, between Breidenbach and Breidenstein, is a flood retention basin in the Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf. The operator is the district committee of the district or the water association "Oberes Lahngebiet". The dam, consisting of a main and pre-dam, is mainly used for flood protection for the Perf and Lahn rivers and thus also relieves the Rhine.
